By combining the first complete automation of pathogen bioinformatics with an on-site revolutionary microfluidic sample preparation and sequencing pipeline, Next Gen Diagnostics offers hospitals a turn-key integrated service: high volume WGS sample preparation and sequencing service followed by automated high quality bioinformatics to enable detection of putative transmission of infection at unprecedentedly low cost.
Each morning, the NGD Dashboard displays results from last nights sequence run, fully analyzed, so infection control teams can immediately move to validate and act on detected transmission, preventing outbreaks before they occur. The savings is reflected in reduced system costs, and assurance of gold-standard compliance with HAI best practice.
the NGD Dashboard
All the results of yesterday's sequencing run are analyzed and at your fingertips on the NGD Dashboard the next morning. This information system displays the new transmission chains discovered and new cases added to existing chains yesterday, for action by infection control teams. Other tabs provide antibiogram prediction and resistome enumeration, including both resistance genes and mutations, on each sample.
Microfluidic Sample Prep
Transmission detection requires a large volume of samples sequenced, at low cost, every day. To sustain this daily volume of sequencing while maintaining quality control, documentation of results at every stage, and traceability, sample preparation, including extraction, library preparation, and barcoding, is done on a proprietary, microfluidic, high-throughput, highly-automated sample preparation station at unprecedentedly low cost.
