NGD combines automated low-cost sample preparation with automated powerful bioinformatics delivered in an integrated intuitive user interface to enable WGS-based transmission detection, infection control, and ML-driven determination of antibiotic resistance as well as the mechanisms that underlie it.
Our partners range from public health laboratories to hospitals, to distinguished academic researchers and pharma (please see the series of press releases in the News tab for details), where in each case we bring unique capabilities to partner with world class pioneers in advanced microbiology and the applications of bacterial sequencing.
Founded in 2017 by Dr. Paul A. Rhodes and Sanger Institute group leaders in Cambridge, UK, we have built and validated world-leading automation of pathogen bioinformatics. In addition, our NGD100 microfluidic sample preparation instrument enables us to offer the lowest cost integrated sequencing and bioinformatics services available worldwide.
We are working with collaborators in the US, Europe and Israel to be among the first to bring practical and affordable prospective WGS to detection transmission in hospitals, and utilize WGS for the determination of antibiotic resistance.
