Just 2 hours of hands-on time
overnight WGS of 20 samples
transmission events delivered for assessment and action by Infection Control by 5AM each morning
A highly automated system enables the high volume low cost wgs required to detect transmission events
By automating the two key components of the WGS workflow, sample preparation and post sequencing bioinformatic analysis, NGD is able to provide the Infection Control team transmission detection results each morning, enabling them to take action to prevent outbreak. The NGD Deck performs robotic automated sample preparation, including DNA extraction and library prep, requiring only 45 minutes of low-skill hands-on time. Bioinformatic analysis is entirely automated, requires just 35 minutes, and occurs as soon as the sequencing run completes.
